What services does PETEK offer?

PETEK offers the complete range of services in cleanroom technology: from consulting and planning through the delivery and commissioning of individual components to turnkey cleanroom systems. These include, among others, clean rooms, laminar flow systems, separation switches, cleanroom tents, distribution stations and airlock furniture.

How does the quotation process work?

For a quote, we need some basic information, for example about the room dimensions, the desired cleanroom class, the area of application and any special requirements. If you already have a layout, sketch or photos, you are welcome to send these to us in advance. On this basis, we will provide you with a technically sound and non-binding offer. If required, a technical discussion or consultation can take place first in the form of a Teams meeting or on-site visit.

How long does a project take? What is the delivery time?

The project duration depends strongly on the scope and the current order situation. Smaller systems or components can often be delivered at short notice, while complete cleanroom solutions can take several weeks to months. After clarifying your requirements, we will provide you with a realistic schedule.

Does PETEK also support service, conversion or expansion?

Yes. In addition to new installations, we also support maintenance, optimisation, conversions, expansions and energy refurbishment of existing clean rooms – manufacturer-independent and individually tailored to your requirements.

What does a PETEK cleanroom system cost?

The costs depend heavily on the project scope – including the cleanroom class, size and equipment. We are happy to prepare an individual quote based on your requirements so that you receive a transparent and reliable cost estimate.

Does PETEK also handle delivery, installation and commissioning?

Yes. On request, we handle the complete implementation – from delivery and installation through to commissioning, qualification and regular maintenance. This gives you a coordinated solution from a single source.

What is a clean room?

A clean room is a controlled environment in which the concentration of airborne particles is deliberately minimised. In addition to air purity, temperature, humidity and pressure conditions are also monitored to ensure stable production conditions.

What is the difference between a clean room and a cleanroom?

The difference lies primarily in the degree of controlled environmental conditions. A clean room is subject to strictly defined standards (e.g. ISO classes) and has a very low concentration of airborne particles. A cleanroom, on the other hand, has less strict requirements and serves to reduce contamination at a lower control level, without having to meet the same regulatory specifications and cleanliness classes as a clean room.

Which cleanroom class do I need?

What is a FFU (Fan Filter Unit)?

A FFU is a self-contained filter unit with an integrated fan that draws in air, cleans it through HEPA or ULPA filters and delivers it as a laminar airflow into the clean room.

Why are FFUs so important in clean rooms?

FFUs are crucial for maintaining the required air purity in the cleanroom. Through continuous filtration and targeted airflow, they ensure that particles are effectively removed from the air and controlled flow conditions are maintained. This guarantees consistently high clean air quality and minimises the risk of contamination.

Which filters are used in clean rooms?

Typical filters:

What does ISO 14644 mean?

Can an existing building be converted into a clean room?

Yes, many clean rooms are implemented as a retrofit in existing production areas. The building structure, air technology and utility supply must be assessed individually.

How long does it take to realise a clean room?

The project duration depends on the size, complexity and requirements. Modular systems enable significantly shorter implementation times than conventional construction methods.

How often do filters need to be changed?

The replacement intervals depend on the intensity of use, the particle load and the cleanroom class and must be checked regularly.
